Before you order a screen for your BMW, you need to know these

Compared to other car series, BMW has a relatively wide range of model variations, from the BMW 1 Series to the BMW 7 Series, and from the BMW X1 to the BMW X6.

First, let's look at the original BMW system. In simple terms,BMW cars are categorized into five systems: base model without a system (originally without a screen), CCC, CIC, NBT, and EVO.

Based on the year, 2006-2010 models have the CCC system, 2009-2012 models have the CIC system, 2013-2016 models have the NBT system, and 2017 and later models have the EVO system. (Years are for reference only; the central control panel will be the final decision.)

The specific differentiation is as follows:

1> Base model without a system is easy to understand: It means the original car lacks a screen and mouse. For example, the BMW 3 Series E90 and BMW X1 both have base model without a screen and mouse.

2>CCC system: The main interface of the CCC system is very recognizable, with 5 squares. The original car LVDS interface is 10PIN, and the mouse is round. As shown in the figure:

3>CIC system: The main interface of the CIC system and the NBT system look similar, and the mouse appearance is basically the same.

The CIC LVDS interface is 4-pin, and we can distinguish the CIC system by some original car buttons; the button in the upper left corner of the mouse is CD, and there is no A/C button on the air conditioning panel;

4>NBT system: The LVDS interface of the NBT system is 6-pin. We usually distinguish the NBT system by some original car buttons. The upper left button of the mouse is MEDIA, and the air conditioning panel has an A/C button;

5>EVO system: The main interface of the EVO system is divided into several different ones, namely ID5, ID6, ID7,ID8 and ID9.

We currently support the installation of ID5 and ID6, but not ID7/8/9 for the time being. The EVO system is very easy to distinguish by looking at the main interface; the LVDS interface is 6PIN like the NBT system;

In summary: Regarding the system, we need to confirm the vehicle model and the original system. If the your vehicle has an NBT system, the CIC screen cannot be installed.
